This is the second Crystal Creek Meadows Bush Poetry Award and is devoted to celebrating our rich rural community life.
The prize of two nights' accommodation* for two at this national award winning retreat will be awarded by the judges for the poem which they feel best depicts the joy of rural community life.
One of the special things about Australia is our Bush Poetry.
It is part of our unique cultural heritage and reminds us of our roots, the power of the land, and our ability to see humour and be resilient even in tough times.

Judges will be looking for:
A modern interpretation of traditional rural life and culture and/or a poem that demonstrates respect for indigenous people and the
environment.
Can be using Australian Slang words, as this differentiates Australia from other English speaking countries.
