Access

Accessibility Statement

The Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival team are currently working towards making our event more accessible and inclusive, with the ultimate aim that everyone can join us and contribute to the weekend, whether attending as a patron or helping the festival as a volunteer.

While we are still finding solutions on the best ways to do this, we realise that you already know your access needs and the more information we can give you about our site, venues and festival offerings, the better you can plan your festival experience with us.

We’ve tried to provide you with as much information as possible below, however this page is regularly being updated. As we are still gathering information for the 2026 festival, we aim to have a comprehensive access guide ready for 2027!

If you can’t find something below or information is missing, we encourage you to get in touch and we will do our best to find out!

Quiet spaces

At present, the festival does not provide a dedicated quiet space for patrons with sensory needs. Please let us know if you would like us to prioritise this for future festivals. Sensory information about spaces within the festival may be added for 2027.

Hall

This venue has a room in an adjoining space next to the kitchen with limited seating for diners. Between performances, this space may also be suitable for patrons needing a quieter space to sit, including parents with infants.

We also request kindness from our patrons, recognising not all access needs are visible.

After the event

Feedback

If you have access needs that you feel we could have managed better at the festival, please contact us describing the specific difficulties or barriers you experienced (including location/venue, date and time). We will investigate what can be done differently next year. (And if we did get something right, you’re also welcome to let us know!)

Volunteering

We would love to hear from any folk festival fans with access needs interested in volunteering for the 2026 event. Find out more about volunteering here.
